Projects
Andrew (Boy) Charlton pool refurbishment
MCM was engaged by the City of Sydney to carry out structural repair works to the ABC Pool. Previous inspections revealed the pool had recurring vertical cracks with active corrosion in the walls and gutters, and the steel members below pool deck level were in poor condition; some were observed with heavy corrosion and visible deformation.
Glebe Island Dolphin Removal
Dolphins protect passing vessels and the heritage-listed Glebe Island Bridge, which is one of the last remaining swing bridges of its type in Australia. The northern and southern dolphins were in a state of disrepair and presented a risk of collapse as Sydney entered its NYE celebration period and relied on safe passage for fireworks and other large vessels.
Pyrmont Bridge Structural Restoration
Pyrmont Bridge is currently in variable condition, with deterioration to the structural timber fabric which needs to be stopped and reversed by a staged restoration process. This project is the first stage of the main truss restoration works.
